Review of Return to Oz (1985) by Trenton R — 30 Dec 2013

Not the greatest film sequel ever, but that's not to say it's terrible as a film. Return to Oz has many flaws, although I do believe that it's definitely modernized itself to be more creative and to really freak you out.

It has very scary moments like when the head collection comes to life and when they put Dorothy through shock therapy, but the fear is mainly what in my opinion, makes the film an excitement. In my opinion, it's way too dark compared to the original, which I find very saddening as I love the original.

Everything is completely different and that's mainly why I rated it like this. But I do feel like it may be an underrated film, but not by a lot.
