Review of Retreat (2011) by Calvin R — 25 Jun 2012
Retreat definitely is a great British haunting riveting apocalyptic thriller that you don't want to miss.
Performance were all great; Jamie Bell the men who they found on the island was great, his performance like always is outstanding and lovable. Thandie Newton also another performance was great, her dramatic scenes were believable and very dramatic. Loved it. Cillian Murphy also did a good performance.
Suspense level is high in this film, so you constantly are in the edge of your seat, but what I liked about it more is that we only get three characters, so which it was easy to capture each character emotion.
Overall Retreat is one of those thrillers that you just appreciate it; because, of its suspense, and the guessing game. This had me guessing up until near the end. Which I found the ending very well played and done. Karma is a bitch! Great film go in with low expectation you might just love it as much as I did.
