A remarkable insider's look into the operations of one platoon on the front lines against the Taliban in Afghanistan. Remarkable yet deeply saddening. Undertaking a mission of winning the hearts and minds of the locals, the young kids in the platoon lack the maturity to accomplish this task successfully.
Leadership is apparently non existent and compels the young force to lead on vengeful attacks rather than ones with a definable purpose. In the end, Restrepo is left with several young men emotionally distraught potentially for the rest of their lives.
