Review of Restrepo (2010) by Kevork O — 24 Oct 2011

An excellent complement to 'Armadillo', clearly showing the differences between Danish and American troops (the former are from Venus, the latter definitely from Mars). The general outcome remains just as hopeless: desperate and increasingly alienated civilians who just want to be left alone, the pathetic, doomed and culturally misinformed attempts to 'build bridges' with the local population, the increasing paranoia and fear of the troops involved in the fighting.

Quite hopeless.
