No matter what kind of movie hollywood tries to pull out to show the Afghan War, nothing will come close to this documentary Restrepo. The fact that these are real soldiers serving our country makes it all the more powerful to the viewer.
It has a moving story plus great narrative from the soldiers interviewed. Restrepo is able to capture real live combat in the most dangerous part of Afghanistan, the Korengal Valley. Just watching that makes a huge impact on what I take for granted.
Not to mention other scenes that will make you just make you break down and cry. Restrepo is one of the most powerful films ever made regarding the Afghan War.
