Review of Restrepo (2010) by Matthew A — 17 Apr 2012
Restrepo is a very well made documentary. I cannot give it enough praise. It gives, what I think, is the best look into the lives of front-line infantry soldies in Afganistan. Specifically a company of men tasked with the toughest mission in the toughest combat of the war.
However, it's not all doom and gloom, as the soldiers lives are not completely dominated by the war. We get a view into the various methods the solders find to escape the war, at least for a moment or two.
