Review of Restoration (1995) by Sean H — 10 Sep 2007
A great soundtrack of period music. Robert Downey jnr was superb as the lead, (even though he was most likely high on drugs at the time). A great story of love, loss, and redemption told through the eyes of one Dr Robert Merivel.
A very luscious, lavish, sexual film with great costumes and sets. Although Meg Ryan's Irish accent is not the best! Sam Neill as the king was superb. A slow film but very watchable. So do yourself a favour!
