Review of Restoration (1995) by Glen S — 29 May 2008
Wrong name for a fairly good movie. It's about the rise (fall) and fall (redemption) of a 17th century phyician in the French court. R Downey Jr is excellent. His rise to fame and riches is very well done, his fall from favor and redeeming work among plague victims is not as well done in this movie.
But it's a good movie. I think R Downey is one of the few actors who really disappears into his character, so the movie gets an extra star for his work.
