Review of Rest Stop (2006) by ?The Unforegiven? — 20 Sep 2009
A promising premise with hints of Duel and Roadkill, but like its heroine, the film soon finds it has nowhere to go. (The three alternative endings on the DVD hint at an unresolved search for a satisfying conclusion.
) The end result is mediocre, but as every horror fan knows, in the sea of dreck that constitutes the bulk of our preferred genre, mediocrity can sometimes stand out as a shining beacon of quality. Watchable.
