Review of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) by Allan C — 28 Jan 2017
SHAKY CAMERA, SHAKY CAMERA all over the place. Just imagine a Fast and the Furious film with a shaky camera on every single action scene. It is beyond ridiculous how they manage to put shaky cameras even when they are talking. The GREAT action scenes of this film are completely butchered by terrible editing which added shaky cams all over the entire action of the film....
And this is an action film so just imagine.
The last 2 films had BEAUTIFUL cinematography because they made the scenes for 3D and the visuals were awesome. This one was clearly not intended for 3D and who ever was in charge of the cinematography should be fired ASAP.
The story was not bad and the very little you can appreciate of the actions they were really awesome action sequences. Too bad you wont get to see any of it, this movie just won the award for film with worst shaky camera sequence ever made.
I have never seen a film with such a terrible camera and film editing as this. Your eyes just don't get a rest cuz the scenes are constantly changing cameras all the time.
It is visually exhausting to keep up.
Very bad, very bad editing.
