Review of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) by Hassan J — 20 Feb 2017
As a long time fan of the video games and the movies(yes, even the movies), this movie almost brought me to tears. This was no fitting ending to the saga like the reviews say. Every fight scene is like having 30 6 year olds throwing a camera down a hill at night.
You can't tell whats going because every second their is a jump cut, its to dark to see what is really happening, and the camera is so shaky that you that you feel like throwing up. It leaves you wonder why it left out important events to see from the last film that could have made an epic movie.
(like skipping the enormous battle that was set up by the last film and leaving out beloved game characters) . It is poorly executed and the ending made me think that it wasn't really over. What could have been so promising turned out to be a massive train wreck.
No real likable characters other than Alice, which is debatable. I felt lost in a world that I love so much and it destroyed my hopes and dreams for this movie. If you love the universe this in is or didn't realize it even existed, don't waste time and money on this disappointment.
