Review of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) by Arthur S — 15 Mar 2017
While the first movies was the best of the saga, this last one did nicely bring a close to the series. I did like how it give Alice closure as to her part in the whole story of Umbrella and the zombie apocalypse.
While I'll certainly miss Resident Evil, there was certainly not more story to really tell to justify continuing the series for a few more films. Instead of further trying to saturate us with more films they gave fans of the franchise and truly simply and nice ending, explaining everything and wrapping up everything in the best and acceptable way possible with a great surprise and twist in the end.
It's worth watching, but only those who have watched all the films will truly appreciate this final one. It is definitely not a movie you can watch without having watched the others, especially the first film before watching this one.
