Review of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) by Jamie C — 28 Jun 2017
A very good ending to the Resident Evil movies, Although I am disappointed it's all ended I'm happy in a way as they have basically bled the story dry and plot holes were becoming the norm for the series, It's fast paced from the word go as we see Washington DC demolished as the final stand against the undead was all just a trap, But again we have main cast from the previous films that don't even get a mention as Jill, Ada and Leon just vanish seeing as it's the last film all can think of is that they all died in Washington but it was nice to see Claire back and her disappearance was explained although she didn't even mention her brother who went missing the same time as her, The story was good and had one hell of a shocking twist that changed everything about the films, But again it does have a few plot holes that ruin it and Wesker was underused which disappointed me, The action was very good but the way it was filmed really ruined it as one zombie kill or punch has to be shown from about 3 different angles and it can be hard to watch at times, The effects were very good especially on the zombie horde attack scene, I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version, Although it's called the final Chapter it's left open for another film if they wanted to do one, If you're a fan of the previous films this will not disappoint.
