Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is a mess of a film that has a couple of fun moments, but not enough. Milla Jovovich is good as Alice. The rest of the cast is fine in their roles. But the action is an absolute mess.
The film is so poorly edited. There are way too many cuts. It becomes borderline incoherent at points. The plot is fine but is pretty much just thrown together. It is generic and feels rushed. The movie does have its fair share of fun moments.
Some of the action and monsters are cool. Jovovich has some good moments. But I wish the action was more well made. Overall, this should hopefully be the final chapter. I've never seen the other films, and I have no interest in doing so.
While the film entertains in some ways, it mostly is incoherent. Paul W.S. Anderson should retire this franchise. If he created some coherent action and had good editing, the film might've been enjoyable.
Unfortunately, it isn't.
