Review of Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) by Luis D — 11 May 2013

Visually arresting fifth live action film based on Capcoms videogame series. Playing out more like its game namesake, this predictable no brainer is one of the weakest entries. For fans, old favourites return alongside new additions from the game.

Mind numbing non-stop action and strong visceral horror throughout. Still, $240 million worldwide pretty much guarantees a sixth slice of mayhem (already scheduled for Sept 2014) and the films finale promises much.
