It seems the Resident Evil movie franchise is more of a cosplay convention than anything else. All Anderson seems to do is drag in any characters from the game franchise under any pretext available, while completely failing to put together a coherent story line.
Closure is the only thing that kept me going to the final credits. If you are a fan of this series, then I would advise you to stick to the first 2 movies, even the third; but just pretend that Retribution and Afterlife never happened.
