As far as this particular franchise goes, there is much more of a story in this compared to its predecessor, however, the story is jumbled, jumps too erratically and where as the first two movies of the series give you a feel that this could actually happen, this one just seems to lead you further and further in to a land of make believe, which becomes more impossible to believe the further along you go. The addition of game characters, such as Barry Burton and Leon S Kennedy, almost seems pointless at this stage - as if you don't know the game series, you won't know them! Bringing Ada in the movie franchise is one of the highlights of this movie, seeing scenes ripped completely from the game into live action is pretty impressive - but again lacklustre, especially when you look at how it develops the plot.

It's a must watch to continue the series, but a reboot, or a more definite link to the game series (rather than just bringing in game characters, like Barry and Leon), is needed to make the movie and the ideas within them more successful.

Overall, it's bare able, as long as you can cope with a jumpy story line and the feeling that the ideas could of been better executed, if they weren't just clutching at straws when linking it back to the Resident Evil games...
