Review of Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) by Sean S — 09 Nov 2012
About as interesting as it predecessor with about an equal amount of action, Resident Evil: Extinction really only differentiates itself by way of its bright but bleak (Mojave) desert setting. Ali Larter and Ashanti make appearances to fulfill the film series' quota of game names and familiar faces, but besides plot elements like Alice's showdown in the lower levels of Umbrella's desert HQ with Captain Slater and an attack by some birds a la Hitchcock, Extinction blends into the others.
