Review of Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) by Dawn S — 12 Sep 2009
If you can get past the awful dialogue and the garbage screech-metal score during the action scenes and the end credits you might enjoy this. While the writing is spotty and the voice acting sucks (just like in the games) Degeneration is actually the best movie to bear the Resident Evil name because it actually feels the most like the game.
It has familiar characters, great animation and tense, atmospheric direction. Capcom could make a really solid movie if they treated it as a real movie rather than an extended game cutscene; hire real voice actors and a more legitimate writer and composer.
