Whilst the soundtrack is disturbingly intrusive and in your face, the movie itself it intense and does the survival horror game series justice. Forget the overly complicated storyline or the breakneck pace, it's simply an entertaining movie that showcases Milla Jovovich's talents and creates some cool moments for video game fans alike.
So there you go, don't expect War and Peace but don't complain when it's not pretentious enough for you.
