Review of Reservation Road (2007) by Jason S — 30 Jul 2008
I thought the performances by Mark Ruffalo and Joaquin Phoenix as the guilt-ridden lawyer and grieving father saved this movie from being an ultimate failure and makes it worth checking out as a rental on an otherwise lazy Sunday afternoon.
At times I felt as if I was watching the Lifetime Network with my grandmother instead of a theatrically released film. This is definitely not the caliber of other similar movies such as Ordinary People or the Crossing Guard, but it had the potential to be so much more.
Sometimes an Indie can fail too.
