Its god damn good to see a Herzog jungle film again. Rescue Dawn is great. I love the opening sequence of the Laos bombing set to beautiful music. Total Herzog there.
Herzog fill this film with fantasic actors like Bale, Davies and the suprise stand out performance from comic actor Steve Zahn. Zahn deserves an Oscar for his effort.
Rescue Dawn ranks up there with Herzogs finest films. And for anyone unfamiliar with Herzog, be sure to check out the speacial features on the dvd for a great "making of" to see how this geurilla filmmaker throws himself into making his films.
