A great true life based film on a American pilot who gets shot down over Laos and is captured. The film shows the time when he is captured to the time he is rescued. A very interesting and great look into the Vietnam war.
Top notch performances from Christian Bale, Steve Zahn and Jeremy Davies. The films shows the beauty and the harshness of the Vietnam land. Also we see how some of the prisoners are treated by the Vietnam soldiers and people.
Christian Bale's performance shows us what his character Dieter Dengler would do just to survive. Part war film and part drama about the human spirit. Well worth checking.
