Review of Repulsion (1965) by Vincent P — 05 May 2009
Truly unsettling masterpiece with Deneuve as a way off the wall (but quite attractive) recluse. Polanski pulls no punches here, showing her descent into madness and murder with nary a touch of humor. Pair this with some other 60's gems (Rosemary's Baby, cul de sac or The Bride Wore Black) for a nice double feature.
