Review of Repulsion (1965) by Walter C — 23 Sep 2009
Polanski's psychological horror film has a few notable shots and ends well, but so much of the lead-up is underdeveloped, from the often too obvious psychological symbolism to the stiltedness of the writing.
Deneuve looking spaced-out for such long stretches seems to substitute for character development through interactions with the underused supporting cast.
