Review of Repulsion (1965) by Jacob G — 28 Aug 2010
Perfect. The portrayal of insanity by Deneuve is scary, regardless of whether or not you consider it to be realistic. Polanski doesn't spoon-feed the viewer with answers... instead making them piece together certain aspects on their own.
That most people seem to come to the same conclusion is a testament to his film-making prowess. The soundtrack to the movie is perfect, the visuals great, just rock solid movie from beginning to end. Instant classic.
