Review of Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) by Andrew A — 01 Jan 2010

This film is not for everyone. It's a rock-opera, and opera in the traditional sense, nearly every line is in song, and it is really, really gory. The film is very dark but has light and often campy scenes. It's like if you put The Rocky Horror Picture Show into a blender with any classic opera. There are so many things wrong about this film, it will make many cringe while they watch, others will love the film for it. It has the girl from Spy Kids, she is often dressed like a goth and in one scene she is covered in blood. Paris Hilton is in it, too. She was actually tolerable, I KNOW SERIOUSLY!

Every song was great, it crosses the line, the characters were awesome, and it's not often when the grave robber is the most charming character in the film.
