Review of Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) by Kyle B — 05 Sep 2010

I loved this movie. Sometimes the characters would do things that didn't quite flow with the their personlaity, but most of the time the story flow was logical and compelling. This is an expressionate (not sure if that's a word) movie though so at times straight up odd things will happen that make no sense, but that's just a form of expression a voice for the emotion the characters are feeling.

Another point I feel I should make clear is that this is an Opera not a musical. what's the difference you may ask? Well in an opera almost 100% of the movie is sung even dialog between characters, in a musical, usually there's dialog and musical portions when appropriate.

Overall I give this movie 5 out of 5 but a strong warning this movie is not for everyone, you have to have an open mind and be able to appreciate it for its particular brand of musical expression.
