Sheeeeeeiiit, I like to think that I'm above nichey weirdness like this and I know I will make many enemies for this opinion, but I enjoyed the hell out of this horror- musical. Repo! is definitely up there with Sweeney Todd at the moment but for phenomenally different reasons.

Nearly all the songs here are fun and catchy, the environments are viscerally creative and go with the insanity of the story quite nicely. The two main characters of the Repo man and his daughter were actually well drawn out even if almost all the others weren't.

Speaking of which, neither Is the story. The story is ridicoulous. Even the director by the asshat from the Saw franchise, didn't do all that well with some musical numbers and plot advances or in directing his actors, who mostly seemed to be hamming it up a bit much BUT by the end.

I was pretty fuckin' satisfied. The main characters ended up having -gasp- arcs and there was a fun Soap Opera-esque climax. All this made me forgive problems such as the fact that the actual plot never really ended.

Setting up a sequel maybe? ....... Probably not. In the end even the haminess of everything and everyone delighted me due to enough rockin' tines and blood and guts to satisfy any musical-loving gorehound ( all three of us).

And hey!, this a movie with Paris Hilton that I did not want to kill myself watching. Heck of an accomplishment if you ask me.
