Review of Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) by Sydney S — 01 Mar 2012
Ah, Repo. I had such large expectations for you. 'Cult classic' came to mind. Even after I found out the little girl from Spy Kids was the main character and Paris Hilton as a plastic surgery addict, my hopes did not dwindle... but they got continuously crushed as the movie went on and on. This movie is about the future and GeneTech, a company that lends out body parts to a population addicted to changing themselves on the outside. But if you cannot pay, bewarte the Repo Man who comes and 'repos' the body parts.
Now, this movie was not UTTER crap. The music was alright, though not download worthy. There were certain funny scenes I laughed at and certain scenes so bloody I couldn't watch... but there was a certain 'music video' quality to it, and not even a good music video at that.
