Review of Repo Man (1984) by Gordon C — 16 May 2009
L.A. punks. Where would movies in the '80s have been without them? This odd little L.A. punk-meets-space-alien tale is replete with sharp satire, memorable quotes, and, well, a heck of a lot of fun.
But what does it all mean? Personally, I think it doesn't bear too much analysis. You've just got to take it all in and let it do its thing.
Note that Public Image Ltd. were clearly influenced by this film, in the packaging of their Album. That's something of a tribute, I guess.
