Amazing film. I went into it with almost no expectations and came out the other side absolutely flabbergasted. Had a blast watching it, it's an insane experiment of a film that just defies any attempts to classify it or rate it as traditional movies.
Watched it with my little brother and it instantly became a hit for us. I dove straight into reading trivia and reciting quotes from the film less than 10 minutes after it was over. Quite a shocker, infinitely quotable, laugh out loud funny and a perfect midnight movie along with the greats like the Room, although supremely better in practically every way to that perfect disaster.
From the killer punk soundtrack and aesthetic to the outlandish supporting characters, this film is packed with myriad details that only add to the enjoyment of this insanely nihilistic non-apocalyptic world that plays as a post-apocalyptic punk comedy.
You can have your plate of shrimp and eat it too.
