Yet another limey director blindsides America with a film that is truer to the spirit of the country than most home-grown product. It's an off-the-grafitti-covered-piss-drenched-wall exercise in punk ethos, subverting b-movie cliches with genuine satire.
Squarely belongs in the Reagan-era doldrums, sure, but its outspokenness still resonates today. "John Wayne was a fag...".
