Review of Rendition (2007) by Nina M — 13 May 2010
"Rendition" is a good thriller with some powerful themes but unfortunatly the themes are tackled lightly which brings the film down a lot.
The whole cast put in strong performances but most of the characters are one dimensional with the exception of Jake Gyellenhalls character.
The main flaw for the film though is the directing. There is no tension throughout the film and its obvious throughout the whole film what the ending would be which does make it drag on a bit as you wait for things to happen rather than thinking about what will happen next.
