Review of Renaissance (2006) by Caleb R — 01 Nov 2007
How is it that I did not hear of this movie earlier? It's a French film, apparently, but it deserves to be the kind of cult classic that should be buzzing around the entire geek community. This is a beautiful animated film, combining the black-and-white process used in Sin City with further animation that makes for something really unique.
The story is excellent, taking place in a dystopian future and hitting all the right notes of noir and intrigue. If you haven't seen this film yet, you should.
