Review of Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985) by Christopher F — 14 Apr 2009
For my 100th review I thought why not take it back in time. 1985, when the world was "right". Nintendo was on the mind of most kids in the ol' USA and the Boss was still playing decent music.
We find a story not like most or at least not done to death at the time. Now we have a Jason Bourne a minute. Remo had the crazy dope moves and if you let yourself go the story is still quite amusing.
In fact if we can somehow get back to the origin stories using this kind of formula then the Bourne formula will have another 12 rounds left... We spend a lot of time in the training stages of this movie- this is good.
We have a little to much "judo-chopping" going on but this is funny. We have the back and forth with Chun which is great. 5 stars for nostalgia effects only. Don't go into this expecting him to dodge bullets- or maybe.
