Sandler is somewhat difficult to take seriously and this hurts the film overall. Despite a compelling performance by Don Cheadle, Sandler's presence is a nearly constant distraction. Even when watching it for the second time, I never quite got over the feeling that Sandler might suddenly slip out of character.
