Review of Reign Over Me (2007) by Kevin V — 12 Aug 2009
A rare glimpse of Adam Sandler's acting ability. I am a fan of most his movies but this is not his usual goofy humor. This is a great drama about a man named Charlie who has created a strange reality for himself after his family was killed in the attacks of 9/11.
His old college roomate played by Don Cheadle runs into him and becomes one of the only people he allows to enter his life. Cheadle's character is repeatedly tested by Charlie, his odd behavior at times is difficult to be around.
However the old friends eventually help each other and Charlie starts to deal with what happened. This is a fantastic movie, if you dislike Adam Sandler give this one a chance and it may surprise you.
