Review of Reign of Fire (2002) by Brett H — 12 May 2014

Entertaining B-movie that gives us the goods with dragon action, and not much else. The premise is fantastic with dragons wiping out almost all of mankind, but the characters we're left with are rather stiff and uninteresting until we get McConaughey's unrecognizable and awesome performance of Van Zan! Every scene with him and the dragons, the movie shines, and I must admit that the special effects still hold up after over a decade! Not a film that requires a lot of thinking, but there aren't many movies like it!
