Review of Reel Paradise (2005) by Tanya Z — 19 Jul 2007
Very cool documentary about independent film enthusiast John Pierson as he and his family travel to Fiji to show movies at a run-down old cinema. Very candid, very honest depiction of their time there, with family arguments and such depicted.
Worth a look-see. Oh, and if you want more Pierson, check out his book, "Spike, Mike, Slackers & Dykes" about the rise of independent film in America in the nineties.
