Review of Reds (1981) by Yoav K — 13 Jul 2007
2007/07/12 Really tiring in its length. It really doesn't get interesting until the October revolution. The romantic story with Louise and Jack mixing it up with the Greenwich Village crowd is not of the appealing of screen romances.
It's not until Jack gets sucked into politics and political considerations conflict with his instincts as a writer that he becomes an interesting character. This never happens with Diane Keaton's character, unfortunately.
Jack Nicholson steals every scene he's in as Eugene O'Neill.
