Review of Reds (1981) by Kelsay M — 21 Jul 2008
I see _Reds_ as a moving love story between two revolutionaries. It uses politics as a backdrop or context for telling the lives of two individuals and their different movements. The debate between what makes an artist and what makes a revolutionary is particularly inspiring, as is Jack Reed and Warren Beatty's approaches in navigating the two things they love the most: writing and revolutionary change.
