Review of Redemption Day (2021) by Profamateur — 15 May 2023
The film starts off relatively boring, even though the director tries to inject some tension by means of flashbacks. The kidnapping is uncreative and boring. In addition, the image of the good Moroccan, bad Algerian is always conveyed.
The fact that the protagonist then goes off on his own to free his wife cannot be surpassed in American fatuity. Clichés can be found in almost every scene. The film does not stand out from other hostage dramas in any scene.
