Not your typical Statham movie, Redemption is an attempt to show that he is a good actor and not just this generation's best ass-kicker. For the most part he succeeds but there comes a point when you're really wishing he'd punch someone.
It has its share of action, but it's obvious the story was supposed to be priority one, which is too bad because it was the weakest link.
