Review of Redacted (2007) by David G — 10 Aug 2008

I'm not interested in anti-war propaganda and tend to filter it out when I see it so I'm sure a great deal of Redacted's message was lost on me but what I did get out of the film was just how much of a clusterfuck it is over there and how incredible it is that such vicious crimes can still exist in these modern times.

I'm sure the people a thousand years from now will look back on us the way we look at the barbarian hordes of a bygone era. There are some truly intense, shocking scenes in Redacted that you will not forget in a hurry and I quite liked the visual style - the film being done entirely in the style of handheld camera footage, news reports, security cameras and internet videos.
