No idea what the fuck K-smith was thinking on this one, but its.... interesting? Some parts are inexplicably weird (see: the prolonged sermon scene), and it doesn't feel like anything that he has done before.
But at least in that context, it's worth a watch. One point of major critique, though, and spoilers, but I though there should have been a crucial role reversal in the part of the woman who lures the boys in for sex at the start.
Given that there is an attractive young actress as part of the fanatics compound, it makes much more sense to me that she be the one who lure the boys in, not that middle aged woman who would be right at home on the best-of-craigslist.
I get that the girl is supposed to embody innocence, but it would have made the initial conflict more believable.
