Review of Red Sparrow (2018) by Ginak — 05 Mar 2018
Red Sparrow is a very difficult movie to pass judgement on for one big reason – it is much too long. It goes on and on and on and on until you want to scream “enough already” and beg for mercy. Jennifer Lawrence was very good, as was the rest of the cast, which included interesting actors like Jeremy Irons, Charlotte Rampling, Ciaran Hinds, Joely Richardson, and Matthias Schoenaerts.
I wouldn’t even say it was badly edited, but the film needed a firm hand to trim out at least 15 minutes and perhaps even a half hour.
