Clearly an attempt by Dino De Laurentiis to continue cashing in on the 'Conan the Barbarian' franchise, but this one is actually a lot more fun than the bloated and pretentious 'Conan'.
It's as cheesy as you'd expect an 80s sword-and-sandal epic to be, but veteran director Richard Fleischer keeps the campy action clipping along, and the cast is likable, even if Brigitte Nielsen and Schwarzenegger stumble through their lines.
Not a great film by any means, but solid camp entertainment.
