Review of Red Road (2006) by Bob M — 28 Dec 2009
Kept my interest somehow, despite the increasing unbelievability of the plot particulars. I didn't totally get how the surveillance angle lent any real weight to the character's actual issue, but whatever.
Like I said, I for some reason kept watching. There is also one "she did NOT just do that" moment that I guess deserves a half star. Lead performances are good, though. This director seems to have a knack with hardscrabble female leads (see the short film Wasp that comes with this DVD) which was also utterly watchable despite the "so what does it all mean to me or these characters" feeling one gets at the end.
