Review of Red Planet (2000) by J.j. L — 21 Jun 2016
The story behind this one was that humans had polluted the earth so much that we had to look for another place to live. Attempts to terraform Mars began and the first manned crew to Mars rockets there to check the progress and stay on the planet.
Things go wrong and the film becomes a pseudo-Apollo 13 on Mars. Not as much of a Sci-Fi action flick as much as a "this could really happen" flick. There are a few action sequences that were exciting but a few of the characters were really unnecessary and the plot was driven by something that I still can't pinpoint.
